You mean you have never bought a music CD?... Ever?...

It's funny how many HD DVD supporters do not know about that... Yet if Sony had illegally sold technology to the Soviet Union, well you know the rest...

Think about it... UMD is worthless but its still around because of the Sony PSP... while Blu-ray is equally worthless and is still around because of the PS3.
So how does it feel to be constantly outsold by a overpriced, worthless format?... Doesn't say much for HD DVD...

Sorry I am late for the argument. I work midnights so 16 hours later...I did BUY the CD. I did not download it from any illegal sites. So yes, I think I can do whatever I want with the music I bought. Sony made their money from the purhcase of the CD. No other Recording company has a problem with what I do after I purhase it. What gives Sony the right to violate my laptop. By the way I no longer use that laptop. I bought a Zune and no longer buy CDs. I learned how to use the Zune music market and buy songs from that site. I will no longer get music from any artist that is under Sonys contract.

The fact that people will defend Sony for the root kit thing baffles me.

Not exactly a unanimous endorsement...

I love HD DVD and Blu-ray equally but I just think the whole DVD forum really was manipulated and the whole endorsement was very shady.

Umm, so did the denial of endorsement.

The rules were changed "(possible do to anti-trust allegations)" -DVD Demystified By Jim H. Taylor

In this deal there is a lot is that is rotten Denmark. Too bad Warner didn't have the chops back then to do what the did for DVD and Force a resolution.

well mgillaspie, I guess you don't want to hear about the time I smelled something burning from my wife's laptop and what brand battery the laptop had. Now that COULD have turned into a red ring of death.
