Default Brett Favre becomes a Viking

This was bound to happen.
Supposedly around $12 mil for 1 year with an option for a second.
This will make one hell of a Monday Night Football game against the Packers.

This should be the last piece of the puzzle for them. One or two post season wins should be realistic now (at least on paper).

+1 on all the above. I'm just glad he finally made his mind up.

damn Farvrer is pathetic.
I mean does anybody honestly think this guy can do much of anything anymore.
I guess it's nice for the Vikings to have a semi back-up.
but at 12 million--wow.
T. Jackson is not THAT bad.
this seems pretty desperate imo.

He will be the starter with Sage likely backing up. As far as his skill, he did great for the Jets their first 13 games or so. They were considered likely division winners until he got hurt.

I'm going back and forth between thinking it's a great addition and will help the Vikings and thinking it's sad that there are so few good quarterbacks in the league that teams keep having to entice a soon to be 40 year old to come back with huge money.

Win or lose he should sell more tickets to games so either way it's a good investment for the Vikings bottom line.

Yes, He is that bad. Hopefully he'll be cut at the end of pre-season and get on to his career as bag boy at an A&P.

I live about an hour away from Green Bay, and I'm a pretty big Packers fan. That being said, I don't care enough about it to let it bother me one way or another. It'll be an exciting season and probably the most competitive NFC North we've seen in decades, that's for sure. Aaron Rodgers is still definitely the best QB in the division though.

The Monday Night Football matchup between the Vikes and the Pack is going to break viewing records, mark my words.

It'll be good for attendance, good for tv ratings and a lot of drama but he's another yr older and like last yr he'll wear out by the end of the season.

I'm a Bears Fan, eventhough I don't like the Packers or the Vikings I give Favre respect. Come to think of it, I think I hate the Vikings more than Packers. Well here's to the upcoming season!
