Default What's better? The new zune stuff or new ipod stuff?

Just thought it'd be a good discussion. This week both MS and Apple had new mp3 related announcements.

Ipod classic is upped to 120gb w/ maybe addint the "Genius" feature (not confirmed) and stays at $250

Ipod nano goes back to the tall/skinny design of the 2nd gen, and adds an accellorometer and "shake to shuffle" and Genius for 8gb at $150 and 16gb at $200

Ipod touch gets Nike+ integrated, along w/ external volume controls. 8gb at $230, 16gb at $300, 32gb at $400

or

Zune 80gb is dropped to $230

Zune 120gb is introduced at $250

Flash zunes at 4gb for $130, 8gb for $150, and 16gb for $200

All zunes above receive following new features:

direct-to-device music downloads (ala the itunes store on ipod touch n iphone), compatabile w/ subscription zune pass

new ability to play commercial games, comes w/ 2 free ones

FM radio song-tagging for later download/purchase either at PC or direct-to-device

So given these announcements, what say you?

I really like the Zune, I picked up a few 30GB for around $100 each off www.woot.com and have been super happy with them. I had one break, and, as you might expect, Microsoft is very experienced with the RMA process and it was painless and quick ; 0

Ipod on the other hand, the last one I got was overpriced, under featured, broke once and was a pain to get replaced. I really like the shuffle, but I probably won't ever buy another Ipod with a hard drive again.

Yea I have a Zune 80gb model, but I always get a bit jealouse of the hardware refreshes that Apple does. I really like the ipod touches, and since they lowered the prices $100, they're not insanely ridiculous at $300 for 16gb flash.

But I dunno the breaking point for me is that zune has subscription music. Not sure I'd wanna go w/o that.

I picked up a 1st gen, brand new touch on ebay this past monday. Of course, the next day, after my ebay transaction had been completed, Apple anounces that they're releasing a new, revamped version of the touch, along with the other new ipods. That's how my luck runs LOL!

80 gig Zune here. Had $180 GCs to BB and my brother already has an account, so I share his so all my music is basically free. Went with that over I-pod for that reason, plus i-tunes would have costed about $6k by now.
Nice to see those announcements, first I have heard of them.

I just wish there was a "zune touch" of sorts

Also wish the flash zunes at a 2" screen instead of the 1.8" they have now and were slightly thinner like the ipod Nanos.

I have an 80gig zune, but think I'd almost like a flash zune more in 16gb size. But the 16gb is only available in black and id definately want red or blue. I know it seems dumb but the 80gb zune is friggin large. And no way I'd ever fill up 80gb. I have like around 7.5gb of music (w/ unlimited zune pass). I could convert my tv shows and they'd at max take up another 6-8 gb maz I think

But the wifi music store is gonna be a HUGE plus w/ the zune pass when it releases on September 16.

I never had an mp3 player or ipod or zune

but judging from the comments here and typical apple, seems like the ipod is another over rated pos apple product.

I don't hate on companies, but apple is one exception. Something about apple rubs me the wrong way. Probably the apple fanatics who think apple is a godsend and who rave and yap about their god damn macs all day

pcs will always >>> macs

I think Zune has a better online plan, $14.99 a month for millions of songs is a steal IMO.
