Default Will you be upgrading to Vista?

I'm not too sure yet right now. I'll be waiting to see some more customer reviews before I take the plunge, especially because I'm afraid of hardware/software compatibility issues (ie: 64 bit drivers). But the GUI looks fantastic and the system search features sound interesting. I just have to decide which of the 5 million versions to buy if I do eventually decide to upgrade

I've used the beta before and it was a resource hog then I figure it will be the same with the retail version. Right now I don't see a need to upgrade just yet. Maybe 6 months from now I'll buy it.

I voted right away even though by that I mean late February. I will be hopefully getting a free copy of Vista Ultimate on February 20th at the Microsoft Ready For A New Day tour stop in Baltimore.

My new computer will be:

Intel Quad Core Q6600
A 680i motherboard with 3 PCI-Express slots (Probably the Abit IN9 32X-MAX)
2GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-8000 DDR2 RAM
An Evga 8800 GTX
250GB SATA II hard drive
Plextor 16x DVD burner
Auzentech 7.1 Xplosion soundcard

Nice system. I really want to upgrade/replace my tower but I'm having trouble justifying it since it's only 3 years old, and has an Athlon 64 (thus compatible w/ 64 Vista). But if I'm going to jump to Vista I'd rather have a system that is built natively for Vista, rather than having to hunt for dozens of drivers to make it work. I guess it's something I'm gonna have to think about, especially considering Vista's reported hardware/software compatibility issues.

I own macs and a pc. I'll wait a while to buy once everything is worked out, but as a mac owner I can see why Vista is very mac-ish... It doesn't get better than OS X.

I am running RC2 and it works fine. I wont be paying for it until this one stops working. In June or something I think. By then they will have fixed a few things I hope.
