I didn't bother to vote, but I think it would have been hilarious if it had been blasted into space.

I wouldnt really call him (Marc Ecko) really just a "fan". He is a "popular" designer and pretty well known. I didnt vote on this either and I really dont agree on what is going on. I cant see why the Hall of Fame is going to accept this ball after this is done, even though they say this in no way shows that they think the record is tainted it IS all about that. By accepting the ball in this fashion they are agreeing to state that they believe the rumors (you may BELIEVE he took steroids, but it has never been proven). If the Hall of Fame is neutral in the matter then they should not allow this to happen.

It's not the HOF's call. They don't own the ball until it is given to them, and it is their policy to accept memorabilia in any condition. It's not like there will be a plaque that explains the significance of the asterisk -- they won't be promoting the controversy. No matter what anyone may think about Bonds, THAT ball represents the new standard for baseball's most cherished record, so of course the HOF covets it. Keep in mind, the HOF does not purchase anything, they completely rely on the donation of memorabilia.

I voted for the asterisk!! I also think it's really funny that the Giants said we dont want you anymore!! So where is the cocky @ss going to go? Maybe Texas, Seattle or KC they were saying on Sports Center. I know one thing it will be to an AL team so he can DH and get his 3000 hit. I wonder if what happened to Sosa will happen to him no one will sign him for a year. God that would be so funny be like we dont want you on our team!! ha ha ha !!
Well that's my take!!
Mischa.
