Default Avengers: Endgame 4K & HD - HDD Reviews

In Avengers: Endgame, directors Anthony and Joe Russo accomplish the impossible, assembling an ensemble cast from various story threads of the MCU into a single coherent, surprisingly emotional plot that satisfyingly concludes an epically ambitious saga.

Disney's continued lack of DV support on 4K disc and Atmos on the BD still pisses me off.
Is there a guide somewhere as to which order you should watch all of these movies in? I am getting this one on SteelBook, but having not watched the entire universe, I won't be watching it for awhile. I would certainly expect a movie like this one to be watched as a finale.

There are multiple viewing guides out there, I have friends and family working through them, but in general the recommendation is in release order and you can leave out a handful if you're in a crunch, I'm a fan of recommending skipping the MCU Hulk, Iron Man 2 and 3, Thor 2, most of the others you get good content from.
Do not under any circumstances consider the viewing list that's in "chronological" order of the years the films take place in, it's probably the dumbest list out there IMNSHO and really messes with your enjoyment of the progression in the MCU.

I would actually recommend putting Iron Man 3 on the list of watching as a lead up to Endgame. The Shane Black movie delves into how Stark is personally and psychologically affected by his role as a superhero and forced to face with the repercussions of his past, the person he use to be versus the person he can become. I would argue the events in part three impact his decisions in the rest of the MCU, such as Age of Ultron, Civil War and even Homecoming. And on top of that, this movie is where Pepper Potts has her moment, which makes her appearance in Endgame logical.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash
we have very little reason to be interested in them.
