You're probably more versed than I am on the Alita universe. I've been told by someone I work with that they did pretty good considering how much material they have.
I am still hoping something like this isn't the reason Cameron hasn't had the time to approve an Abyss & True Lies transfer.

It's fun for what they had to work with - they def tried to cram a LOT of the original manga into the movie - there are some sequences that are lifted panel by panel. The 3D was EXCELLENT. Not the greatest movie ever made, but entertaining.

Didn't see this one in theaters, but talking to friends that had, they said the film was pretty "meh" but the 3D was phenomenal. So it's great to see this getting a North American 3D release. Will pick this one up once the price drops a bit.

Loved this one, one of my favorite Scifi films since Blade Runner 2049, cant wait to own it. And now that I'm finally 4K, dont care about the 3D anymore as that TV no longer exists in my house

I can't wait :-) Alita was easily one of the best big effects movies I've seen in recent years, and easily the best of the year so far, by a wide margin. I'm glad they're popping the 3D in with the 4K. Our rule of thumb is to get 3D if available, then 4K if not, so this is the best of both worlds. I'm not a big Anime fan, and my faith in Cameron had dropped after Titanic and Avatar, which I only thought were 'okay' at best, but Alita definitely won me over big-time. :-D

I think you can give Robert Rodriguez a bit more credit in making this work too It wasnt all Cameron

Saddened to hear though that this wont have IMAX scenes, no ratio changes which sucks, perfect movie to do this for because its amazing looking, Aquaman is so great watching those IMAX scenes, who decides NOT to do this shit? Pisses me off, no excuse for it really

4K + 3D + FHD SteelBook.
Wonder if the U.S. will get the SteelBook, likely minus the 3D?
