AGAIN, Disney's lack of DV on the 4K disc is to say it nicely, annoying as hell. They've embraced Atmos but not DV. -- I wish someone in corporate would get a hint and allow the home video division to use DV. It can't really cost that much more, if anything.

Actually that's the point, unlike HDR10 which is royalty free DV incurs a cost, and I'm sure Disney knows 80%+ of the people out there will never notice. From a personal viewpoint I have yet to see a significant enough difference in DV over HDR10 to really care, I can see A difference, just not night and day ala no HDR vs HDR, and that's with a 65" OLED.

But the problem is they DO offer dolby vision in streaming, so it's not like they're not ever offering it. It's just irritating they don't included it on disc.

One would expect that from a software point of view, DV is likely free, or almost free. The hardware POV is where the extra cost comes in. Like mattedscreen mentions, they're including it on streaming, so any potential costs have been paid for this title. If this release is any bit like say The Lion King, the gamma issue alone is huge.
