Default The Equalizer 4K - HDD Review

The Equalizer remains a terrifically engaging actioner with an excellent performance by Denzel Washington as the titular character who chooses to apply his deadly skills to help others as part of his road to redemption. This 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray evens the odds with an excellent 4K HDR10 presentation, an even better Dolby Atmos soundtrack, and the same set of supplements as before, making the package Worth a Look for fans and UHD enthusiasts.

This one's nice in 4K, I almost bought the Blu-ray right before they announced the 4K so I'm glad I waited. - Yeah I hope the sequel is solid stuff as much as I loved Die Hard in Home Depot.

If they wanted to reboot Home Improvement that would be a pretty fresh direction to take it

LOL
I love Denzel in this type of role. He was great in Man on Fire.
I actually hope in the second one he doesn't use as many tools. Maybe in the first it was because of where he was and worked.

Right - I like the idea that he's adaptive of his environment so I hope there's a lot more of that as well. If all he's got is a Hello Kitty backpack - I expect him to use it well

Am I the only one that thinks this film is about 30 minutes too long? I did like it, but at the same time I was anxious for it to end.

Also I didn't find it to be like Die Hard, more like if MacGuyver liked guns, or something like MacGuyver Death Wish mashup. The main character is a vigilante after all who inserts himself into the situation, as opposed to Die Hard where you have the policeman who is trapped in a situation.

I just recently acquired the BD for about $6, so I can't see myself upgrading to 4K on this one.
