Grrrrrr..... Portland got hosed with Switch instead of 4K. If Redbox does roll out 4K here (and actually stocks more than 1-2 titles) then I would finally be able to kill off my Netflix subscription. Seems they have no intention of getting 4K discs, and I'm sure they would bump the price way up. $2.50 to rent a movie for 1 night would be a lot cheaper than the $15 a month I pay for 2 Blu at a time currently....

Not for nothin, but 4K discs can skip if there are imperceptible particles on the disc. 😳

I've played over 200 UHD BDs, since February 2016, and never run into that issue.

Yeah... Iím worried my John Wick 2 disc has rot. Skips around the 47 minute mark, doesnít clear till around 52 minutes. Does it on Oppo and Xbox One S. :-/

The slightest amount of dirt/dust/smudge does indeed cause read errors. How the player adapts varies.
