I recall not being overly impressed with Die Hard's blu-ray PQ. It was OK, but nothing spectacular. It'd be nice if Fox would release a re-mastered blu-ray as well.

Fox prepared a 4k master a few years ago that played in selected theatrical screenings, but for some reason was never used on Blu-ray. One would hope this will come from that.

I'm excited to check out it for the HDR and WCG because Jan de Bont's photography is pretty fantastic, so I want to see the higher dynamic range improvements.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

The inevitable sequels and multiple box sets to follow no doubt. Do you buy this one or wait for the whole set?

If the final cover art looks any bit like the temporary art work, I will refuse to buy this!!! EGADS.
Absolutely hideous.

Let's just say this spoiler might be covering it:

They gotta stop outsourcing cover designs to freshmen highshool art classses. There will be plenty of sets to follow, but Iím betting $5 it wonít be much of an upgrade. Iím always suspicious when they donít bother with Atmos/DTS:X.

So what do you think is worse; the artwork for the Die Hard 4K release, or this:

Spoiler

Fortunately, this was just an art card and could easily be chucked out.
