Default T2: Judgment Day 4K (US + UK Import) - HDD Review

E has reviewed Terminator 2: Judgment Day (UK Import) on 4K UHD. He says James Cameron's sci-fi action classic may be the best sequel ever made. However, the UHD transfer isn't a huge step-up and actually has some tinkering that may annoy movie-lovers.

Wow, this is a disappointment. Is there any word on the US release being the same transfer?

No official word, but supposedly, a different company in the U.S. handled the HDR process. So here's hoping for better results.

He didn't open the aspect ratio to 16:9 for the 3D version? After Titanic, I fully expected him to do that again.

Ha! Perhaps he forgot, but sure as heck remembered to change the color timing to this orange-teal beauty!

So despite rumors that the USA release did not suffer the DNR issue, that rumor is FALSE FALSE FALSE. Quite disappointing. F You Cameron. And the usual F You to Lionsgate for their need to region lock the accompanying BD.

Must be a new version in the works as this one is currently $6 on Amazon. Shall I take one for the team to prove the theory?
