Default Léon: The Professional 4K - HDD Review

Good news, bad news. Léon: The Professional has never looked better, but other than the new 4K transfer, it's a very similar release to the 2015 iteration. Please check out Matthew's review.

I only have this on standard def, so I'll probably pick the ultra up.

I am very pleasantly surprised to see the PQ at 5 stars. I thought when this original movie was shot there was something sub-standard about the production. It was a low budget sort of production and that they had cut corners. Thanks Matt for showing me this was an urban myth.

Was playing this last night and the Sony X800 froze (first time ever with this machine) right at the point where the girl was delivering the two quarts of milk. Turned everything off and will continue on with it tonight.

Got past that part that froze yesterday. I would rate this movie (using a scale of 1 to 10) as an 11.

Found myself going by BB yesterday, I couldn't help but pop in and pick this up. Very glad I did, the transfer is absolutely gorgeous, easily worthy of 5 stars. Sound quality shocked me as well, lots of deep tight bass. This disc could be a brand new action movie.

Btw it froze up on me around 1hr 18min mark. I ejected the disc and put it back, it resumed. I backed it up and it played through fine. Watched on the Oppo 203.

Freezing seems to be a commonality with Sony releases. Are we onto something here?
