I will likely get this one (again) when it comes out in 4K, though I'm far more interested in having the series in 4K if that would ever be possible.

That's asking a lot. As it is, the show has wide quality swings from HD down to upconverted SD at any VFX shot. There's no way Fox will ever pay to have all the VFX re-done.

I know that's the saddest part of it all. It really is likely never going to happen. I know never say never, but I just don't see it at this point. It would take a miracle of more than a small size to get it to happen and I don't think it will.

Doesn't mean I don't want it to happen though

I try to take comfort in the fact that we already have the show in higher quality than was ever anticipated it would be seen at the time it was made.
