Nothing will ever top my HD DVD set.

I'll wait for the reviews. I don't have a 4K HDTV, but I do have a UHD player. If the reviews are strong enough, I might pick it up.

An ATMOS remix alone gets my attention on this, and then when you add in a fresher scan graded for 4K HDR, this is a no brainer for me to update.
So on an OLED with inky blacks and precision highlights, this one has winner all over it unless they screw it up.

I doubt it's a fresh scan. The movie was already scanned at 4k (with some of the effects footage scanned at 8k and composited at 4k) for the Final Cut in 2007. In fact, I don't think it's even possible to rescan the Final Cut since that version of the movie only exists digitally.

It will surely be regraded for HDR, however.

I'll buy the 4K. I've purchased this movie (well not the Final cut necessarily) quite a few times including Beta, S-VHS, CAV LD, CLV LD, DVD, HD DVD & Blu-ray so far...

@Cupboy: #CantStopWontStop

@Dianebrat: 1) Josh is correct -- Warners did this because they had a 4K restoration from before -- the only thing that's new for the home will be the HDR/WCG.

2) Re: Jerry. Hahahaha. & I agree. Most excited about the Atmos mix.
