Heard critics hated this but movie goers loved it.

Sounds like Transformers and Fast and Furious.

If movie goers loved it than why did it tank at $23M for it's opening weekend?

I thought I heard movie goers loved it, I guess it didn't do well then at the box office.

The studio claimed they were very surprised by the poor box office because it was getting good scores with test screening audiences. It got a negative reception from critics, which they think scared people away from even bothering to watch it. Oh well, I guess this means we won't be getting 'Baywatch 2: Rise of Newmie'.

I liked the show as a kid and I like The Rock. I doubt it will be a terribly good movie, but I'll give it a rent.

Hey! How could it fail? You have the Rock and and a whole bunch of T & A! And to top it all off . . . running T & A! AND . . . a comedy crime drama . . . with T & A!

Same reason why many magazines filed for bankruptcy. Why
pay a movie ticket price for vast amounts T&A that is but a
couple clicks away?

Walmart has an exclusive version but I cannot determine what the difference is due to lack of info on their website. Will check the store tomorrow.

update: Turns out to just be some sort of streaming content. Useless to me. They only had 5 copies of the movie on the shelf. Target has none. Target clerk confirmed they don't stock it and that they still sell quite a few DVDs after I mentioned how old that format is. Target is as useless as streaming content. May as well quit that store.

update 2: I think this exclusive edition crap is just a trick to prevent price matching, especially since they don't stock the standard non-exclusive version.

update 3: Well it is only a buck more than the BBY price so I bought it anyway. I'll try out this bonus movie Pain & Gain streaming thing on Vudu. Costs nothing to create the account, according to the packaging.
