I got the coupon E-mail too. Did a quick search for a couple of titles and I've already reserved Madagascar (the first one) and The Quick and the Dead for pickup at a local Borders. Online price for each is $30.99 (which would be $15.50 each after the coupon) but my experience is these are always priced a dollar or two less in store, and the store takes 50% off of the store-marked price. So, I should be looking at $14.50 - $15 each for these two. I've never seen them lower than that.

Ended up picking up the Dark Crystal only for $13.50. FYI all of their blu movies are 27.99, 29.99, or 39.99. I was this close to picking up the Wizrd of Oz collectors set. They had it for $85.00 so I would have got it for $42.50 plus tax.

I signed up for their rewards program a couple weeks ago, but I never received this email. Bogus!

When I got to my Borders, they couldn't find the Madagascar I had reserved. They only had The Quick And The Dead saved for me. Marked price was $28.99 so it was $14.50 after the coupon discount. I decided to wade through the other Blu-ray titles to find a second title to buy. A Bug's Life immediately caught my eye. I've had it on my list of must-buys for 5 or 6 months. And that entire time, it's never dropped below $27.99 at Amazon. I had noticed the Border online price was $45.99 which would translate to $22.99 after the coupon. Still not quite cheap enough. I've got my principles you know... I don't want to spend more than $18.99 for a top-tear catalog title. So, as I slid A Bug's Life off the shelf, I was hoping for a store-marked price of $37.99, which would translate to $18.99 after coupon. Oops... it was marked $39.99. So, $19.99 after coupon. Damn... so close!

After much deliberation, I threw my principles out the window for a buck! Given how long it's been sitting at Amazon for $27.99, $19.99 seemed like a pretty good deal.

Of course, now that I bought it, Amazon will lower the price of A Bug's Life next week!

I got Contact and The Quick and The Dead. Both were $28.99, so basically it was buy one get one free for me. Would do this again if I have money next time.

If you look around you can find better deals. I bought The Quick and the Dead at Fry's for $12.99.

I bought Woodstock for $34.98. Only thing I found that would give me a savings over any place else.

Not a huge savings, but I did save a couple dollars off of Amazon's price for
No Country for Old Men and
Poltergeist

I didn't get there until Saturday and by then the rack had been pretty well cleaned out.
