Seems like a solid deal, it has all the "it plays blu rays" features you want (24hz, internal DTS-MA and TrueHD decoding), but just none of the extras (Netflix, Pandora). If you need one now, it's probably a good pickup ( I have a small Woot! addiction), but if you're like me and looking for Christmas gifts, I'd wait a month for the inevitable $99 ones with the same features.

That particular Pioneer player is not so good. I would go with a Panny, LG or Sony over it.

The Pioneer BDP-120 is in the list. The 121 is its Canadian counterpart. Yes Canada does have the 120 as well and they both have the same specs, same build, price, etc. If everything is the same then they most likely will perform the same. I actually can't tell what the difference is besides the model number.

Oh and they're both made by Sharp.
