deals on Jumper?

Just wondering if anyone has anyone seen any deals on Jumper BD? it seems a little high @ 27.99 on Amazon and even dumber on best buy at $30. At these kinda prices, I dont know how sony ever hopes to make blu-ray mainstream...

Unfortunately that is Fox. Most of their movies are in this price range. Luckily not all studios are following this for example most Disney or Warner Bros movies are 19.99 at Amazon for pre-release

It is a deal if someone hadn't thought to check their Quick Picks and ended up finding a deal because of it. Last time I checked 26 is less than 30, and with Fox, it might not be that low for a while. I don't know about everyone else, but I appreciate when people try to offer up suggestions, rather than bring them down for it.

I've seen 2 deals on Jumper...

1) Rent It for $5

2) Take that $28, fold it in half and save your money for a movie worth owning

I would have to disagree with that. I thought the movie was probably the best film so far this year. Yes it didn't have much depth, but for me it was a great fun ride. Doug Liman has still yet to make a flop IMO.

If anything Jumper would be great on Blu because of the incredible locations and special effects.

This one, like most new movie releases, will be available for $20 or so at some point within the first 4-5 weeks after release. It's possible a retailer/B&M may have this one for $24.99 on release day (June 10).

If you must have this one on release day, pre-order from Amazon -- but check out Speedy's retailer ads at dvdtalk's bargain forums starting around June 1st (he gets Circuit City, Target, and Best Buy adds and posts the details) to see if there is a better deal to be had on release day in stores. You never know, they may be $29.99 in store, but it could be a Steelbook or an exclusive extra to go along with it that you won't get online.
