What's the best way to maximize this sale?

Honestly - multiple tabs in a browser, 1 for each "maybe" on your list. If you widdle it down to 10 movies, check the prices on Amazon and or camel^3 before deciding. Some movies, such as Godzilla are very often around $20ish anyway on Amazon so you don't really save much money.

Yes, sometimes the price is less elsewhere, even with the 50% off sale. But I was thinking more along the lines of maximizing the B&N sale itself. So, for example, coupons, membership, etc. Some people seem to always do better than just the 50% off.

I just got a B&N 15% off coupon this morning in my email. I'll bet you that it won't be allowed to be used for sale items like this sale. I hate when B&N does that.

I do not get to "the city" very often so today while I was in the parking lot, bored, waiting for my mother to finish up at the doctor's office, I surfed Wifi from a neighboring college. I ordered from Amazon "The Lure" and "Jabberwocky" - I was thinking of B&N when Rob asked about maximizing. Both titles were $22.97 on Amazon, pretty much paying a $3 premium for each to have them in my mailbox. Jabberwocky of course is not released until later in the month, but that's fine. Those are some of the best prices I have seen from Amazon for Criterions. If I do get to "the city" I can always pick up other titles.

If you were to use coupons, often times they have to be early in the sale. They often times forget to invalidate them on sale items and after a few people use them they do the oops, and do so.

Rob, have you checked retailmenot yet?

I just did. It's hard to tell whether there is anything that would work with the Criterion sale. If anyone's had any success, let me know. I know that historically using coupons with the 50% off sale is a crap shoot. It works for some and not for others.
