I bought Season 6 for $31.99. Not too bad considering I paid over $40 for the previous 5 seasons. Season 7 is not part of the deal or I would have bought that as well.

On one hand, glad to see the reduced prices, on the other hand, is this a fire sale and basically indicating to CBS that releasing Star Trek on Blu is an epic failure? I hope not as I cross my fingers hoping for DS9.

Well I finally bought season 5 and 6. It would have been nice if Season 7 were on sale also.

I would buy the rest of Enterprise if it ever dropped in price.

More of a loss-leader for Amazon than anything to do with CBS/Paramount. I think they're quite happy with the sales of TNG on Blu-ray.

Star Trek franchises are never an epic failure on Blu, but it's still an indication that sales weren't as strong as hoped. Basically anything that's being discounted steeply are titles that are being clearanced-priced by the studios. BF has become timed clearance sales for studios without the stigma of being a clearance sale. People think that the retailers are being generous and taking on losses but it's the studios unloading the undersellers to the retailers at clearance prices and the retailers are simply passing on the savings to the consumer. The days are gone when packaged media is used as loss leaders to bring traffic to the stores.

^^ On the other hand - These appear to be minus their slipcovers, and as we all know, Slipcovers are typically present on the first pressing, so the fact these are missing them would indicate a 2nd or more pressing.
