code seems a little too good to be true. i mean, free blu-rays, essentially. when they get flooded from the tards at the other site, everything would get canceled. in other words: legit use turns to abuse, turns to nothing.

It was a banner on their site, you could click and get that code in your cart. If you use up the 10 times you can use it, another code 20120309TRT1 gives you $10 off on any order.

I made 8 orders yesterday, 2 are already showing "pre-ordered, ships XXX" while the later 6 orders are still showing "processing". I got a couple for just the cost of shipping (plus sales tax in AZ) - To Catch a Thief & The Bodyguard, and Chinatown is $16.17, so $1.17 + shipping. Also got Steetcar Names Desire digibook for $8.96, MI: Ghost Protocol for $9.46, and Casablanca 70th Anniversary for $29.96.

The have American Pie 1-3 for $11.97 before code discount, but I'm still holding off for your review, I'm not optimistic - Universal catalog release + DVDs are fugly with DNR & EE = potential for really fugly BDs.

you won't have to wait long, Dave. i have all 3 viewings done, i'm just sorting through extras now. the FOUR audio commentaries on Pie 2 will be a killer...

i will tease this much: the USA Pie 1 is an improvement on the German disc, in one area by a lot, in one area by a little. additionally, Pie 2 is the best disc of the lot. i dunno how that worked out.

Oh, c'mon - a certain "bits" reviewer would have a review up within hours after receiving the screeners, declaring them cinematic masterpieces.

Well, that is encouraging, the German AP1 was not impressive at all. I have the AP1-3 DVD set and oddly AP2 is the best of the lot as well, you'd think the more recent one, American Wedding, would be the best, and it's my favorite of the 2 sequels. Well, for a few bucks each I may bite.

Luckily they(SD) tend to frown on CH deals. Too many ppl still remembering them from the old days. But I am suprised that someone hasn't atleast posted it there.

I put in a few orders. Got some for the price of shipping(American Pie series) and pre-ordered some also(MI:GP, 3 Musketeers 3D, Chuck S5). I look at it the same as wormraper, if they go through great. If not, no big deal.

exactly. anyone who complains can go kiss off, along with their horribly inflated sense of entitlement. do we really expect CH to ship a few thousand discs, with 20 going to single places, for the cost of shipping? i highly doubt it!

yeah, I noticed they tend to not pick up on the Columibahouse deals as much. right now the only 3 places I've found it posted on is BR.com / here /dvdtalk (although here and dvdalk there's only a few posts, on BR.com it's literally PAGES long)
