for those that don't mind importing, the UK set can be had for around $100.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Battlestar-G...1145421&sr=8-3.

I question the math that this comes out to $100 after shipping, though. I calculate $108.60 before shipping. If you add Royal Air Mail shipping costs, this will probably be as much, if not more, than ordering from the US Amazon.

I ran it through just out of curiousity and it came out to $101.xx for me using their currency converter. You have to remember that it takes VAT off when you go through the process of checking out which knocks it down to 59.55.

btw, I selected their "standard shipping" that costs 3.08. I did not try the expedited shipping.

OOOOhhhh! I didn't think you could buy without adding the VAT. That may be why the few things I ordered through them were cheaper than I thought, but as all those things were preordered, I always assumed it was the preorder price guarentee.

I can't believe you got out for shipping that cheap. I have never gotten out below $7 for shipping, and that was for a Harry Potter hardback. Amazon.de was ridicously high in shipping - I think I paid about $15 to ship a SINGLE DVD.I kid you not, I ordered this thing a month ago, the DVD was 20 Euro. After shipping, it cost me over $50. Maybe the Euro is just really high right now.

I don't think the UK set has "The Plan" though.

The trick to Amazon.de is to pace a large order. They have a fixed 14Euro shipping charge (or did last time I ordered from them) no matter how many discs you order. I used to do group buys from them all the time. I have ordered 100+ discs and the shipping still was 14 Euro. It is the only Amazon that has flat rate shipping like that however. Amazon UK depends on the order, Amazon.jp and amazon.fr are also on a per item deal however their shipping is atrocious in reference to Amazon.uk

Damn, when I first read "'Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series' Blu-ray" I thought "Hoorah! Finally!" but no... it's just the remake... Oh well, at least I save the money!
