Yea I was going to get that but if you add the tax its $52 and change. Which is just a little under Amazons current price. I bet Amazon will have this set on sale before years end..

I wound up picking up Dr Zhivago instead. It came out to $23 with tax and you know Amazon wont do a sale on this.. Not for $23..... I thougt this was the way to go..

Yeah. I just wanted The Pacific because it's like $80 here in Canada plus 13% tax. Plus Amazon charges quite a bit for shipping here.

that sucks... 13% tax? ours here in L A is 9.75% and im pissed. I make it a good reason to go to the city over (Fullerton, Orange county) and purchase my stuff ( b&N too) at a 8.25%. Not a huge saving but still.. Fucking socialism!

I here you though.. $80 bucks Wow.. The B & N coupon was the way to go for you! Enjoy.. I'll have mine soon enough ! cant wait

I just bought this in-store tonight. I'm a member, so not sure if that helps or?? I used the new 25% off coupon...paid at the register...they ordered and ship free to my house. They did have the DVD of "X-Mas Tale" there, but I wanted the Blu. They're the same price!

So yeah I had no problem using the 25% off one item coupon in store--it scanned and everything so got no trouble from the cashier. I expected to have to convince him. Got By Brakhage Anthology for 26+tax down from $80.

Oh well, I was coming close to breaking my $20 rule on Darjeeling before this sale started anyway, so I still feel good about the price I paid.
That sucks - it actually worked the second time for me too. I went back and bought Che - I got a different cashier, and when I gave him the coupon he asked if I had my membership card. I said no and he asked for my phone number, then said he didn't show a membership for me. I told him I didn't have one, and he said, "weird, this is a members-only coupon. I'll scan it and see if it still works." He did, it did, and I left with my movie and discount. Sorry it didn't work for you!

Yep, 7% provincial sales tax, and then another 6% goods and services tax. Both used to be 7, but the Canadian government knocked the GST down by 1% as sort of a promise of doing away with it and then conveniently forgot about lowering it any further. But that's politics, bunch of asses.
