ALIEN ANTHOLOGY Special Edition (Egg Package) - $149.99

Hey! Not sure if this is much of a deal, but considering how you can't find it for pre-order anywhere yet (not even on Amazon), I thought I'd give everyone the heads-up.

Right now on the Fox Store, you can pre-order the special, egg edition of the Alien Anthology for $149.99. Apparently that's $50 off the regular price of $199.99, too. Here's the link:

Enjoy!

Yeah, this is currently a foxconnect only exclusive and they *claim* it's $50 off, but since nobody else sells it who's to say? According to the Alien Quadrilogy thread there's only 5000 copies available but with such a low number I'm surprised they're still available.

$150 for 4 movies plus a plastic egg? I don't get it... :money2:

I thought $97 for the Anthology on Amazon was high for 4 catalog movies... I'll give it 6 months and this anthology will be $40 in the gold box like everything else. :shh2:

Hi all-not a deal, as it's the regular price. I have an Alien thread discussing different eds, if you'd like to check it out here.

Cheapest for Anthology is probably Amazon UK, at 40 gbp or so. However, Fox locks its discs most times, so you may be out of luck if you don't have a player that can switch regions.

Hmmm 40gbp...not a bad price. I may have to check out amazon uk.

Anything in excess of $29.99 for this set will be too much in my mind. That would be $15 each for the first two movies. The only think working in Fox's favor with this set may be that I may buckle simply because I love the second movie so much.

I've never owned the 3rd or 4th movies. I'm not opposed to owning them, simply opposed to paying for them. :)

This is exactly why I hate it when the studios just release their catalog titles in sets. I like the second movie more than any of the others. It is the only one I want to own but I will not purchase the entire set and pay that much just to own one movie. I'll just have to wait and hope that they don't wait forever to release the films individually. I am in the same boat with The Magnificent Seven. That set has been out since earlier this year but only the first film is worth owning, IMO.

I like all 4 movies (2nd one being the best), but I'm not paying that for the set with some fancy packaging. Even just the set of movies is going to have to be a decent price.

I'll Netflix them until such time the titles I care about are available separately at a reasonable price.
