Personally, I'm not too crazy about these steelbooks. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is the best one IMO. Scarface is OK I guess.
I really wish Universal were releasing steelbooks for movies that haven't been on steelbook before (The Last Starfighter, John Carpenter's The Thing, Dragonheart, Dazed and Confused, just to name a few). This is now the THIRD TIME Scarface has been put onto steelbook here in North America. I really like the movie, but this is just overkill now.

I can see the die-hard steelbook collector's buying these new releases from Universal, but I think the average buyer will hold off on them. Just my thoughts though.

Several of these movies had already gotten steelbooks yeah. Some weren't even that long ago. Very different style this time around though, and these are Limited (Not sure how limited, but I'd say ~5K would be a reasonable guess, but it could be as low as 2.5K though that's unlikely.).

My thoughts exactly. Some of them I already own on Steelbook. This is just plain laziness and lack of creativity. Pick other movies guys! We have already seen the F'ugly covers the studios think we want. Were the junior high art project covers so successful they decided to expand on it?

A thousand times this. It's one of the few remaining catalog titles I want.
