Default Who Framed Roger Rabbit - Zavvi exclusive (UK)

Nice to see UK retailer Zavvi getting in on some Steelbook exclusive action (particularly after the demise of Play and HMV). And yes Zavvi DO ship to the USA

My pre-order is placed.

Zavvi Exclusive Steelbook Edition - Includes artwork inside that is embossed and debossed.

It's 1947 Hollywood and Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins), a down-on-his-luck detective, is hired to find proof that Marvin Acme, gag factory mogul and owner of Toontown, is playing hanky-panky with femme fatale Jessica Rabbit, wife of Maroon Cartoon superstar, Roger Rabbit. When Acme is found murdered, all fingers point to Roger, and the sinister, power-hungry Judge Doom (Christopher Lloyd) is on a mission to bring Roger to justice. Roger begs the Toon-hating Valiant to find the real evildoer and the plot thickens as Eddie uncovers scandal after scandal and realizes the very existence of Toontown is at stake! Who Framed Roger Rabbit is deliciously outrageous fun the whole family will enjoy.

Before and After
Toon Stand-Ins

It says Region B on the site. Is Disney known for locking their releases or is this possibly just an assumption?

Zavvi have form for saying stuff is region locked when it ain't. Being Disney, I would think it likely to be region free frankly.

One more question: do they take the money up front or upon release?

Well, I hope there is a USA/Canada steelbook, and that it looks at least that nice. I particularly like the insert art XD

Dunno if I'm willing to import from the UK just to get a Roger Rabbit steelbook TBH.

I'm usually not a sucker for special editions/releases, but that's an awesome steelbook and would probably spend the extra $5-$10 to get it in the US
