Mission Impossible - Ultimate Collection

Street Date: December 16, 2015

Studio: Paramount

Region: Free*

Zavvi Description: Zavvi Exclusive Steelbook - Limited to 2000 copies.

Extras: NA

Technical Info: Previous discs likely will be recycled, first 3 movies will have Dolby Ditigal Audio, Ghost Protocol Dolby TrueHD 7.1, Rogue Nation True HD or Atmos.

Synopsis:
Mission Impossible
Tom Cruise ignites the screen in this runaway smash hit that "holds you on the edge of your seat before blasting you out of it" (Howard Rosenberg, Los Angeles Times). Cruise stars as Ethan Hunt, a secret agent framed for the deaths of his espionage team. Fleeing from government assassins, breaking into the CIA's most impenetrable vault, clinging to the roof of a speeding bullet train, Hunt races like a burning fuse to stay one step ahead of his pursuers... and draw one step closer to discovering the shocking truth.

Mission Impossible 2
The world's greatest spy returns in M:I-2. Top action director John Woo brings his own brand of excitement to the mission that finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) partnering up with the beautiful Nyah Hall (Thandie Newton) to stop renegade agent Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott) from releasing a new kind of terror on an unsuspecting world. But before the mission is complete, they'll traverse the globe and have to choose between everything they love and everything they believe in.

Mission Impossible 3
Tom Cruise stars as Ethan Hunt in this pulse-pounding thrill ride directed by J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias). Lured back into action by his agency superiors (Laurence Fishburne and Billy Crudup), Ethan faces his deadliest adversary yet - a sadistic weapons dealer named Owen Davian (Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman). With the support of his IMF team (Ving Rhames, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Maggie Q), Ethan leaps into spectacular adventure from Rome to Shanghai as he races to rescue a captured agent (Keri Russell) and stop Davian from eliminating his next target: Ethan's wife, Julia (Michelle Monaghan).

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol
No plan. No backup. No choice. Agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his elite team (Jeremy Renner - The Avengers and Simon Pegg - Star Trek) go underground after a bombing of the Kremlin implicates the IMF as international terrorists. While trying to clear the agency's name, the team uncovers a plot to start a nuclear war. Now, to save the world, they must use every high-tech trick in the book. The mission has never been more real, more dangerous or more impossible.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation
Ethan and team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate - an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF.

Comments: As with previous releases, will likely be region free (thanks Paramount.) MI:2 is known to have a crappy PQ/transfer.

Those wishing they could snag the Back to the Future Trilogy set, well, apparently it is available elsewhere as well. Amazon.jp (thanks ahsoka) has it as well and it will set you back about 80 bucks, so just a tad higher than the UK Zavvi release.
http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B0142J2U6Q

I wonder where the photo was taken though as the producer's name is "S ven Spielberg"

Amazon jp's button layout should be the same, trouble navigating? Load an Amazon in a language you understand (USA, Canada, De, It, Es) and mock follow it to order.

Want it even cheaper? Amazon.it has it for 32,12 Euros shipped, which is $36

Received my copy of Hugo and have made some changes to the original POST

I still think the OAR is listed in error.

Breaking Bad - The Complete Series

Street Date: September 7, 2015

Studio: Sony Pictures

Region: All-Region

Zavvi Description: Zavvi Exclusive Steelbook - Limited to 2000 Copies

Extras: All previously release extras starting with Season One beginning HERE

Technical Info: DTS-HD MA 5.1. AR 1.78:1, 15 discs (Dual and Single Layer)

Synopsis: Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Gunn) and teenage son (Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a slim chance to survive. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in this world. The series explores how this fatal diagnosis transforms Walt from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

Comments: Region Coding - All the previous releases involved in this series have been region-free (thanks Sony) and there is little reason to believe they will produce new discs to package in this all inclusive set. Looks like all previously released f'ugly steelbook covers are packaged together in this one set.

Gone in 60 seconds... really like the movie, how bad do I want this one though to replace my dvd? Sure it looks more traditional than previous release so it's got that going for it.

T2 is labeled as StudioCanal, not Sony. Three versions on the same disc, TE 136 min, SE 153 minutes and ESE 156 minutes. This may very well be the latest (this year) master available. I do not think it is the same exact version reviewed by Matt in July as his review indicated 152 minutes in length.

[Edit] Just did some reading - it is the same shit release already from previously. Not the new transfer and the inner part has no artwork.
