I still don't understand why studios won't put the remaster/new transfers onto the accompanying blu-ray as well. Especially when the new blu-ray would certainly benefit from this new transfer and lossless audio track. Just seems that some studios are just too damn lazy, or just have a lack of caring. Meh; it's probably both.

I would say from the studio perspective, it would make sense to keep the highest possible contrast between the 4k and the BD, to elevate the new technology.

So far only Warner Bros seems to do that. We would want this series done that way because the original MI Bluray has lossy audio.

Well, a sale is a sale. Let's say they compromised and forced you to buy the 4K combo to get the upgraded BD while simply repackaging existing BDs oin the other non-4K set that was just rereleased.

The impossible has been successfully executed on UHD with a brand-new 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack, upgraded from a Dolby Digital track heard on previous Blu-ray edition, an issue that fans have been complaining about since the movie originally hit the format in 2007.
I have a question relevant to the review - Is this more or less not entirely true? Is this simply just the same audio track released on the Asian edition Bluray from years ago?

Possibly, but those were never released in the U.S.

So it's probably NOT a new audio track, just new to the U.S.

By all means, pay the money to import those Asian Blu-rays and do the comparison.

Most titles already sold out at Best Buy and no show at Target and Wal-Mart. What a joke.
