Default Anyone Have a PS3 and Onkyo 605?

I just got this reciever yesterday but, Im not sure if im getting uncompressed audio. I rented Pirates, dead mans chest on bluray and in Dolby it sounds great but in PCM it sounds dole. Now, on my PS3 my audio settings I have the output setting on bitstream. On LPCM it doenst sound right. Now on the reciever it displays PCM/HDMI if the PCM track is selected. Shouldnt it the reciever display PCM MUltichannel if im getting PCM? and not PCM/HDMI?

Both ways I get PCM Multich. Honestly for some reason bitstream sounds better to me. Can anyone confirm if it's just me or if the PS3 alters a PCM track when outputting LPCM?

I was just about to buy this this afternoon, but in looking at pictures of it online, it appears I need banana plugs for the speaker wires, and my Pioneer speakers have the standard exposed wire connection.

How easy is it to update these to banana plugs?

Thats funny because I think it sounds a ton better on PCM instead of bitstream. Uncompressed audio sounds better than I thought. I guess to each is own

I can't hear a difference between bitstream and LPCM for PCM uncompressed audio.

Really? That's excellent. What gauge wire do your speakers use, and is there a certain range of wire gauge that must be used with the 605? Mine are 22 AWG.

Would you mind maybe posting a pic of your connection setup to the receiver?
