Anyone know if this still has an optical drive in it? It is still premature for companies to remove this, but it was said that the next gen would likely do so.
I would have my doubt of 8K gaming with any where near 120 fps, but just about any 4K game would likely perform very well.

Doubt it will lack an optical drive. It'll probably have a UHD capable drive actually. Though I've read that they're introducing a disc-less version of the XB1? They might have that option at launch for the NeXt-Box

Yeah, it says 'up to 120fps'. So, the internal bandwidth and hardware is technically capable, but like you said it's doubtful that it will actually have the horsepower to manage it. I mean, the updated current gen had trouble with handling 4K/30 consistently, let alone 4K/60, and 8K is 4 times that resolution, and at 120fps you can double the frames on top of that. Shoot, I can imagine it having trouble just playing video like that, forget video games.

Be impressive if it could manage it though.
