Default Klipsch RP-500SA Review

https://hdgear.highdefdigest.com/707...sspeakers.html

There doesn't seem to be an official post about the review, at least not yet? Maybe it'll be posted later, I dunno. The forum update could have gotten in the way.

Still, I wanted to discuss it a bit. I have an R-15PM & R-10SW for general music playback, including with my record player. Quite satisfied with the performance. The review setup does sound a bit pricy, at $500/pair, but not totally bank breakingly bad.

I'm not responsible for the home theater system in the house, but this looks like a pretty sweet setup, and something we'd probably do since we are about as handy as a trained monkey at 'home improvement' type stuff, so avoiding ceiling mounting would be ideal. Our home theater is/was good, but it's really rather dated. Like, I'm talking ' early DVD era' old. Forget ATMOS support, we don't even have HDMI 1.0 here. Pioneer set and speakers, so it's good stuff and has lasted this long, but one of these days it would be pretty awesome if they upgraded to a modern home theater system. Hah, maybe if the receiver finally breaks or something XD

Where would you want to mount these speakers? Should they go on the very back wall in the middle behind the surrounds or would you mount them on the ceiling?

Well, if we ever update our home theater here, I seriously doubt we'd mount speakers on the ceiling for three reasons: We're not handy at all, not sure the ceiling would be able to hold anything too heavy (maybe if we could find the studs), and lastly the ceiling downstairs (where the home theater is) is very low, like a handspan above my head or so (I smashed my head through one of the old overhead lights when I stood up carelessly, before we replaced it with a domed fixture).

So yeah, we'd probably go with tower and floor speakers, with wall mounting not really being an option unless we drastically rearranged things (one of the walls has the bookcases for discs). That's one of the reasons this setup looks good, The speakers for bouncing sound of the ceiling are designed to just sit on the floor speakers.

I wonder how well these would match decades old Klipsch speakers like the Klipsch KLF-20, KLF-C7, RS-7.
Any thoughts?

I think Magnolia carries these perhaps and maybe can demo them to see.
