A much needed attempt to reign in the bullshit surrounding HDMI marketing, seems like a good thing to me.

I just hope this isn't an excuse to overcharge for cables. I've bought plenty of cheap HDMI cables over the years that worked just fine (even with 3D Blu-Rays) and have been a fraction of the price of the overpriced cables (e.g. Monster).
