I have had this system for a year, and I love it, good review! A couple questions;

- Did you use the truvolume? If so would you recommend this?
- I flip back and forth between DTS and Dolby, considering it's not HDMI, which should I use?

Thanks!

I did sample the TruVolume mode and found that it was useful in certain situations. If you're having trouble with volume fluctuations in content it should help. For instance, playback from my smartphone was initially very quiet and when watching a .AVI file off of my PS3 playback was way too loud. Using TruVolume evened this out.

In my experience with this model, the unit automatically detects whether the source is DTS or Dolby and then does the proper decoding.

Also, are you sure you have this specific 38" model? It was just released this month.

I believe I have the 42 inch model. I purchased it in February. I was looking for a stop gap for adequate sound before spending a ton of money. This has filled the need.
