    lol, leave it to Sony. I regretfully purchased a boombox from them recently (they're the last one's standing in that realm in terms of the majors). Impossible to turn it up with the subwoofer blaring without the CD playback skipping. Engineering fail!

    It's continued safety recalls like the above that keep me as far from their product line as possible.

    Ditto what Nova said. I have the KDL40V3000 and I definitely don't want it bursting into flames any time soon. This has been a rough year for me and Sony products. My ps3 fat died in May and my BDPs380 had to be serviced due to network connectivity issues with Netflix. I just hope the inspection and repair processes are as painless as the website suggests. Fingers crossed.
