Default Iron Man Blu-ray First week sales 500,000+ copies - Day one 260,000

hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/film/news/e3iced839ebc80856000c1b9629c27100d2 - Can't link, sorry.

"As the markets were tumbling, "Iron Man" posted the strongest first-week sales tally of any new release this year, with distributor Paramount Home Entertainment selling 7.2 million DVDs and more than 500,000 Blu-ray Discs.

Day one Blu-ray Disc sales alone amounted to 260,000 units, a single-day record, according to Paramount.

In just one week, "Iron Man" has already become the best-selling Blu-ray title all year. The title also spiked total weekly Blu-ray Disc sales to record heights."

Very impressive sales overall. Blu-ray ratio is less than I'd have thought though.

500k is not what the hype lead everyone to believe. It is of course a record, but we'll see what the Dark Knight can do.

Mikemorel wins. Bluray is dead.

I'm putting my vote in early: 1 million (discs) for The Dark Knight.

Well, the 20% ratio threw everybody off, but I think 500k or so was about the standard prediction during the week of release.

Yes it was.

This is great news for Blu-ray, can't wait to see the sales of TDK.

I think it threw Disney off even more with their wild and crazy 2 year prediction.

Kind of reminds me of the dot com days. Things can't go up 300% forever.

odd based on that article +500k bd vs 7.2 mil dvd... that would put iron man at roughly 6.5% or 7% depending on how you slice it.
