Default Samsung BD-P1500 now Profile 2.0 finally!

Not sure if this has already been posted but it looks like Samsung has come through on the promises of BD Live for the BD-P1500.

I booted up my player tonight and having recently just reset it, after Iron Man wouldnt play with out the friggin remote, got a wonderful surprise.

When I went to check the Firmware update section after putting all my settings back it did indeed find a new firmware. After only a minute of checking my settings again I found that it has BD live listed under network and the persistant storage manager also functions differantly.

Time to bust out those BD live discs folks as it is officially the cheapest profile 2.0 player on the market.

Im sure this will add to the discussions here plenty as this system is full spec unit at or around 240 bucks.

This is an obviously long over due update and now most of us are going to have to stop complaining on the technical aspect

Sorry giz, when anyone mentions something negative about blu, it is smackdown worthy. A positive statement should be just as worthy. Mabee you should find something negative about people benefitting from this.

how about this:

this is making Blu-ray appear more attractive thus luring customers to Blu-ray with cheaper and cheaper players, and players that are supporting the latest and greatest profile of blu-ray, but in fact Blu-ray anti-consumer... for some reason...

I think it's a clear case of $amsung forcing BD-Live down people's throats.

Good news. 2.0 players are starting to take over. It's a good thing for Blu-ray.

I have this player and I am glad for the upgrade but to post it in the smackdown forum just to get back at a dead format or the people who still own and use it is childish.
