Default NPD: HD DVD is "a format that's not going to be supported much longer"

From ABC News:
Quote:
Toshiba's strategy to win customers with low-priced players is "a Hail Mary (pass)," says NPD entertainment analyst Russ Crupnick. "It's a format that's not going to be supported much longer."

Blu-ray supporters say that the latest announcements mean the format war is all but over.

"Everyone's tired of it," says Andy Parsons, chairman of the Blu-ray Disc Association's promotions committee. "Both (companies) pointed to consumer preference. It's dictated by market forces."

Come on Universal already. How long are you going to stay attached to a sinking ship.

I just sold my A2 and movies.

I'm officially Blu again.

Paramount will be neutral soon and Universal will follow.

Read the article again. Mods don't look kindly at people who hit the report button for bullshit.

Actually it was reported on ABC news in page 2/2 of the article

Toshiba's strategy to win customers with low-priced players is "a Hail Mary (pass)," says NPD entertainment analyst Russ Crupnick. "It's a format that's not going to be supported much longer."

Reading comprehension for the win!

Maybe I shouldn't tell her that more news is coming soon?
