Default Was Sony in financial trouble? $1B middle east injection

Was Sony in financial trouble?
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/...1beaf6cd?imw=Y

Seems like Sony really needed this money as "turnaround strategy" is mentioned.

Also, I wonder how WB gets in a $500M video game fund at the same time yet they don't produce video games(?). Shouldn't Sony have gotten the video game deal?

Sony sold its PS3 chips production line to Toshiba.

Your point? Do you see "Was" in the title somewhere? Guess not. I guess old news should be deleted from your brain and the internet and never be spoken about.

Cell chips for the PS3 have always been, are currently, and will always be produced and supplied by IBM. Sony also controls a number of the production lines inside of the factory they sold, meaning they now no longer need to pay for the overhead and upkeep of the factory, nor pay the people that work there... yet still get their cell chips for other electronics they intend to use them in at manufacturer price..... how is that bad, now?
