Default Thank you Blu-ray!

I just want to thank blu-ray for finally making HDDVD movies cheap enough to buy. At this point, HDDVD movies are selling at $15 to $20, making it very competitive with DVDs. Add that to the recent price drops are the HDDVD players, HDDVD is now in the competitive market space with DVD.

HDDVD player pricing and movie pricing has finally reach mainstream, while Blu-ray continues to be marketed for the niche high end HT enthusiast who are willing to spend over $400 for a player and $30 for a movie. Blu-ray will be for those who argue about 7.1 channel lossless sound and how big is their bitrates.

Thank you blu-ray.

Too bad nobody is buying the players or the movies.. This is what happens when consumers lose confidence in a product... I suspect you will see even cheaper pricing in the near future as HD DVD and Toshiba cling to whatever little bit of the HDM market that they can....

No offense higdefimports, but if you look at it objectively, it's kind of like someone offering thanks to the people who just kicked him in the gnads.

I mean I love both, but if I was solely an HD DVD supporter, I would never thank Blu-Ray for anything.

Does this mean I should thank HD DVD for the Blu-ray BOGOs that helped me build up a collection?

Jesus what happened to the cool hd dvd supporters like Daryle? The forum is just left with these passive aggressive types.

Yep. And you should thank the format war while you are at it.

I dont think to many people will buy hd dvd when not on sale. Not because people are waiting for sales but because they know hd dvd is not gonna last but at least get movies for cheap
