Default Where Does Sony stand on losing the most$$THe Format WAR or Console WAR

Since they are like borther and sister Console, Format. I was thinking would sony lose more money if they lost the Format War OR if the lost the Console War.

Would Sony gain more $$ if they won the Format war or the console war ?
Just throwing his out there.

well, they cant "loose" the console war, it is already a system, it cant like go dead, but like 360 can take over like the ps2 did, but blu-ray can loose, if blu-ray looses, ps3 is also doomed and will have troubles.

The word is lose, not loose.
Loses, lose, losing, lost.

For 1 thing, Sony is not the only company envolved with Blu-ray. Secondly its only 3 months a long and 360 has been out a year long, lets give Sony at least another year before determing the faith of PS3.

Also Blu-ray success helps with PS3 and vice versa.

Honestly I don't see Blu-ray has a possibility of loosing, but if it did - it would take at minimum at least a year or two before even thinking about it. In that time the PS3 games could grow up by themselves and the platform could survive as console a long.

Maybe the question should be restated to be a little more clear.

Which makes more money for Sony, their Movies or their Gaming department? Which war should Sony concentrate on winning more, the Format War or the Console war?

Well sony lost 1.7 billion dollars in 2006 alone just in their gaming department. They should probably just concentrate more on making more than 1% profit as a company in total.
