Assuming this is sarcasm, the fact that classic films are hitting HD DVD is definitely a good thing. That's not to say that they don't need a little more in the way of the new releases, but I don't think having movies like Fletch release hurts the format.

Classic movie (love when he morphs into Kareem) but have no desire to buy it at $29.99, maybe at $10 I'd grab it.

Actually I loved Fletch and its sequel. HD DVD should try and be a bit more aggressive with their release strategy though. Now is not the time to be focusing on titles like Fletch. They need to get some heavy hitters re-mastered and on the shelves.

not a rush job. High attention to a quality transfer of some really solid titles.
Shrek 1 and 2 would be a good idea to release for example. Fletch is not gonna get it done for HD DVD.
