5 per store? How could someone advertise a sale like that and have only 5 players to sell? That is nonesense and not worth having at all.

Still horribly overpriced. When BR players are less than $200 and I can't get one not named PS3, I'll be purple.

Over priced? Are you mad? Its a system, and a BR Player for $350!! You can't even get a 360 w/ HD addon for that much can you?

and you get 5 free movies.

Wouldn't want a 360 w/ HD addon either. I'm not going to have friends snicker at me for marring up my home theatre setup with a video game machine.

The A3 deal is poor, and limited stock makes it an annoying waste of time trying to get.

The A2 might be worth attempting if you have that friday off work anyway, and you are an audiophile who needs the extra audio connectivity options on the A2. Best to go early at 7 am if you're going to do it.

Overall HD-DVD fan ranking: meh

effectively free when you multiple the average price of an HD DVD (I'm arbitrarily picking $25) x12...
