Default The look and sound of perfect

ok, this isn't really a smackdown, nor am I a BR fanboy. (I own both BR/HD DVD systems) Mods.. please move this if you feel this is in the wrong section

"The look and sound of perfect" <-- is that even a complete sentence? Does this not bother anyone a lil? Shouldn't it read, The look and sound of perfectION

It's not a sentence at all, since it has no verb. It's a phrase. Specifically, it's a noun phrase.

How the grammatical structure of the slogan factors into anything, I don't know. Unless someone is actually going to argue that the masses don't understand sentences and thus this phrase appeals more to them because of its grammar?

It is? Seriously? Where is the noun? Is there a verb?

How about Blu-ray..."Beyond High Definition" what the hell is that. Pretty sure its not a compleete sentence. Pretty sure you can't be beyond anything we have developed already. High definition already existed....infact there are higher definations than 1080p so how can it be beyond those?

I wouldn't worry too much because slogans change all the time.

HD-DVD "The Look and Sound of Perfect" but not many discs with lossless
Blu-Ray "I do Blu" sounds like a purchase junkies would make

So, really, both slogans kind of irk me.

IT IS A SLOGAN, okay? It does not need to be a sentence or in this case, logical ...unless you considered 1080i or A View from Space with Heavenly Music perfect.
