And another rough issue for Sony, backing Blu-ray, which still has some key partners in Disney, 20th Century Fox and Lions Gate. HD-DVD enjoys Paramount, Dreamworks and Time Warner .

Oh God. I posted this earlier, and that line was toasted. I believe it to be an error. It needed to say Universal - even though Warner does support HD DVD.

Considering they completely left out Universal I'm guessing they meant Uni and not Time Warner. Who knows?

No ...it just suggests an ill-informed, biased CNBC blogger. Like most threads today, nothing to see here ...move along folks.

i would just like 1 format and i knew i was buying a PS3 so...
but if Warner goes HD DVD exclusive it would probably end in a stalemate
i think Buena Vista, Fox, and obviously Sony are dedicated enough to BD to stay exclusive while i can see Lionsgate and Wienstein going nuetral
I'll probably pick up an HD DVD player sometime early next year if this happens
