Well I guess these kind of statements are to be expected from them, now that they have joined the BDA.

Phil-Ray is the sure-fire winner & Blu-Ray & HD DVD will fail.

No really, if Phil says so it must be true. Phil is completely unbiased in his opinions about the format war and has no preference whatsoever for Phil-Ray vs Phil-Ray's profit reducing competitors.

DVD is the sure-fire winner, but I'll continue to enjoy my HD DVD's just the same.

I got the old LD player out. Man, the sound is great. I'm sticking to that for now, and selling all my DVDs, so disgusted I am with the DVD business. Bring back the laserdiscs !

Again with the HD DVD is going to die crap.

This is why both formats will survive, HD DVD are putting their money into getting cheap players on the market, have gotten the interative and internet capable discs down pat and are expanding on their market base getting themselves to a point where no matter what Blu do HD DVD will be a viable lasting format.

How so Blu compat the price disparity and the lack of interative features presently on their discs, by each BDA member at least one a week proclaiming HD DVD a failure or its about to fail and some even give a timeline for when it will be crushed. HD DVD have never to my knowledge proclaimed the death of Blu Ray, they big up HD DVDs advantages and why they feel its the better format but no, dead in months from the red side.

Have they not realised by now that nobody gives a shit about what reps from either side say, what speaks is the machines and discs on the shelves pure and simple?

Didnt Bush declare the war in Iraq over about 4 years ago? If only he had told the Iraqies. I know its an extreme comparrison but at the same time saying something doesnt make it so.
