Default Warner putting total HD on Hold indefinitly

Kind of makes you wonder what is really going on with Warner right now. Could they be leaning toward a particular side?

Most definitely. This is VERY telling. I originally posted about the exclusive Warner rumors "It depends on how much they've invested in Total HD" Meaning if they'd be willing to drop to format. Now that they are i can only expect this clears the way to go exclusive one way or the other. Considering how much blu-ray has to lose if they do... i get the feeling blu-ray will offer them more money. There are just so many warner movies not out on blu-ray that are out on HD DVD.

When I read this yesterday it became pretty clear to me that they will be going exclusive to one side or the other sometime between now and Q2 2008. They had to invest a serious amount of money in TotalHD, and either they simply cannot get it to work with high enough yields, or they have decided to pick a side soon...

Except they've already said they won't decide anything until after the holidays. Maybe we should all give it a rest until then.

Good to see they've dropped that TotalHD abomination though.

Maybe they've already made a deal? Maybe the deal starts after the holiday season? Maybe a goblin told them which side to choose. Or a unicorn. Maybe they are switching to VMD HD or CH HD or Beta or picture pages.

Maybe maybe maybe

Maybe they figured that since they're the only ones neutral that they cannot cover the costs of making this happen.

Or Maybe they have made a choice to *make* a choice.

Or maybe not.

Maybe I can get my wife a bit drunk tonight. But that means I won't be caring about TotalHD.

Maybe.

If they go HD DVD exclusive the war will continue and Dual Format Players and PC Drives will become standard. If they chose Blu-Ray the war is over and HD DVD has almost lost.

Just my assumption..
