Actually, it isn't a space issue...Amir and a few other sound engineering insiders stated it has more to do with royalties and licensing than anything else, along with the fact that they all seem to think DD+ sounds almost as good....considering numerous titles have had TRUEHD and been brimmed with extras that kind of disproves your flamebait theory?

I think the response 30GB is looking for is....
"30 GB is not enuf space. Blu ray is better" so....
30GB is not enuf space. 25GB or 50GB Blu Ray is enuf space

300 on HD DVD features a 5.1 TrueHD track that was rated at 5 stars. It also has extra features not available on the BD version, along with the S-DVD version...

Consider yourself egubicated!

It is not a royalty or licensing thing. Dolby changed their licensing. If you include a DD+ track you do not have to pay extra for a TrueHD track (goes both ways). I cannot imagine it being a space thing either (with Transformers) since I thought they were putting the extras on a second disc.

I really do not know why Paramount included a 24bit TrueHD track on 'Next" but not on "Transformers". That decision seems backasswards to me....

in he context of the OPS intent, cleary 30g is enough to support tons of features and a TrueHD track, along with a S DVD version, as 300 proves this.
