Default DVD Empire this week= HD DVD is the format of choice!

Look at this turn of events over at DVD Empire !
http://www.dvdempire.com/Content/Fea...99365911514812

Week of Sep. 11 in HD sales.... drum roll'

HD DVD = 66.67% and Blu-Ray= 33.33%

Can this be all from the fact of "The Transformers" or Paramounts/ Dreamworks anoucement or all the good news for HD DVD combined?

Could this be a sign of what the nelson ratings may become?

Really? That would be surprising if one title could swing it.

And again, I think Bourne is another title that people will actually invest in HD DVD to see (like Transformers). And with superior versions of every Warner Bros. title, HD DVD may see a great holiday season.

Actually, wouldn't this be BEFORE Transformers dropped? It looks like it's Heroes: Season 1 that swung it.

lets see how the war turns now that the sales are changing...and may i remind you that...well...that 51 gig disc is closer to becoming hddvds heavy hitter towards bluray's 50 gig.

Well, I think every "major" HD DVD release this year will really register. Especially the two Parmount/DW exclusives Transformers and Shrek the Third.

Bourne and Knocked Up should be big sellers along with the Warner Bros big guns Harry Potter and Blade Runner.

The numbers are for a couple of ours. Maybe one neutral owner bought two HD-DVD:s and one Blu-ray. Wait until next Tuesday before the numbers are final. They will get updated many times.

We have had several thread started by HD-DVD fanboys claiming victory and they haven't realized that DVD Empire start to count on Tuesday and that the first numbers are only for a few hours from a small online retailer.

More interesting are the fresh final numbers for last week:

Week of Sep. 04th:
HD-DVD: 30.92%
Blu-ray: 69.08%

Not because Blu-ray is back at about 70:30 but because these numbers are final (or infact should be but DVD Empire updates the numbers even after the week has ended and the new has started).

By the end of the week, The DVDEMPIRE charts will look at lot like last weeks...

I can't wait till you all look like idiots for thinking otherwise. I might even come back and bump this thread.
