You just validate the space argument by saying 50 GB is not enough.
If 50 GB is not enough, then surely its better than 30 GB.

I agree entirely. I'd love more than two layer Blu-Ray disks to surface once we start getting full 1080p special features.

Glad you finally saw the light VC-1. 50gb is already too small, 30gb is down right microscopic. Why anyone would want to force studios to put their content on a 30gb disk is beyond me.

No, because 50 Gb is substantially better than 30Gb and will give you the option of offering a wider variety of content on one disc with less compromises than would be possible with a 30 Gb HD DVD.

How could it be pointless when you are saying 100 GB is not enough? If thats the case, then Blu-ray has a decisive advantage ...it only takes two BD50 discs to have 100 GB. You will need 4 HD DVD discs to reach that capacity.
